the Commission

Alongside Women Veterans Outreach is a non profit organization distinctly focused on helping women learn to manage stress, depression, anxiety and adrenaline in a safe place, filled with the perspective of others battling the same feelings and emotions.

Our Part In The Project

All groups will have a guide to lead conversations and outdoor activities, as well as a first aid qualified individual and a knowledgeable trails guide.

Transportation from the point of the event, food and lodging (tent, lodge, cabin) may be provided by Alongside and our contributors.

A packing list will be sent for your preparation when you are selected for your event. Two team zoom calls are required prior to your start. You will meet your guides and your peers here.

Bikes, water bottles, and other tangibles may be sponsored and provided to participants by various contributors. If not having your own gear, bikes or skis is stopping you contact us anyway. Where there is a will, there is a way!

Your Part In The Project

  • The Alongside project is asking you for a digital cleanse—check-ins will be completed for our participants to the family or friends by our team during the project. A no phone goal is set for 18 hours. Photos and progress reports will be shared with the families so they can see your progress and location.

  • Communication with your assigned guide/coach is a must. From before your arrival to finalization of the project, you will be involved in a cooperative widespread approach to heal and to thrive.

  • You are the best judge of your feelings, both physical and emotional. We ask that you push yourself out of the daily comfort zone you are accustomed to and participate fully in the project. You will be in constant communication with your guide and we ask that you be truthful at all checkpoint checkins.

    1. Application to attend

    2. A non liability waiver must be signed to attend.

    3. A social media release form is required, however, this is your choice and will not prevent you from attending if you opt out.

We use social media to let others know about our project, our goals and most importantly that we are here option for those that need us.

From the founder

When Alongside came to fruition in April 2024 we were established for the female veteran. Since that short time, I myself came to the realization that there was an extremely important group of women that could not be omitted. The spouses of these Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. The wives of First Responders You are our priority. Come be a part of better, alongside of us.
